The authors give a wonderfully healthy explanation of the history and mechanics of search engine technology and system architecture, then deep dive into both the PageRank and HITS algorithms. It's very good content with a hardcore emphasis on the underlying math.At this point, the material is in slight need of updating with more recent enhancements to Google's platform like RankBrain, but the book is still a valuable addition to any enthusiast's library. A must-read if you need to know how the stuff works.

This book is a good review of the mathematics behind PageRank and other algorithms, such as HITS. It can be used as an auxilliary text in bth graduate and undergraduate courses.The main characteristic of the book is that it covers a subject that is not present in most textbooks of the area.

The Episcopal church in the twentieth century took advantage of the general availability of publishing to good advantage, compiling through several auspices different collections and teaching series, the latest of which was only completed a few years ago. There have been 'unofficial' collections of teaching texts, such as the Anglican Studies Series by Morehouse press, put out in the 1980s, as well as an earlier teaching series. Examples from recent history include the likes of Martin Luther King, Jr., with his dramatic ministry, but also include the more spontaneous and simple action such as Rosa Parks.Anglicanism often suffers from a bad reputation of being a church of the propertied and politically powerful, disconnected from `the real world' of struggles and injustice. Lewis draws on Anglican figures such as F.D. Maurice and William Temple to trace a history of Anglican concern for social justice ministry developing from the concept of incarnation - that God is present in the world. Lewis traces the history of Anglican social witness from the Church of England through to the early Episcopal church, highlighting issues such as the Episcopalian response to slavery and the Civil War and the Civil Rights Movement.Lewis looks in some detail at the issues of economic justice, both within the United States and the broader issues of economic justice between nations in the development/underdeveloped world; the issue of race relations in America, not just African-American issues, but other races as well; the issue of gender and gender equity both inside and outside of the church; and the most current hot-button issue of sexuality and orientation. A really great trip down memory lane. I got it for my aunt and a few other relatives. Mostly people aged 60 and older will appreciate this more - I am younger but still remember some of these things - either personally or from family members reminiscing. I only wish my mom was still alive to have seen this book - she would have been over the moon happy! If you are a baby boomer and grew up in Cleveland - this is the book for you! No holiday season was complete without a trip downtown after Thanksgiving. It was truly a magical "life in the snow globe" time of life. The pictures of the Sterling Linder tree, Mr. Jingaling - oh - just everything! I also really found this very informative - lots of background information. For example I had no idea the stores hired off duty policemen to play Santa. Those were the days when companies put safety and the customer first. I can't recommend this book enough!

Wow, did this bring back memories. I bought one to give to my sister and we stroll down memory lane. A word of caution though...the song about " Mr. Jingaling, how you ringlaling...keeper of the keys. On Hallies seventh floor we'll be looking for you to turn the key." is now stuck in my head. I believe that is called an earworm and so far I have been unable to get it out of my head.

My grandparents, in their late 80s, grew up in Cleveland and lived there most of their lives. Every night at dinner, the try to remember the names of all the places where they loved to go. Every now and again I send them another book in this series and they go crazy over them. They tell me over and over how this is the best gift anyone has ever given them. But it's also a huge gift for me, being able to sit on the couch with them and watch them get so excited when they remember a place from the book and then tell me stories about them. Really super books and such a great gift.

Brought back many fond memories of taking Cleve. transit to downtown for a day of shopping and fun with Mom.

Not enough photos and far too much highly personal and not as dated related babbling by the author (who is she anyway?). A bit disappointing compared to other publications about the Cleveland past. And a bit over-priced for the content.

Not from Cleveland but love this book. No matter what city you are from you will be able to relate to it. Holiday memories will flood back tp you. Have some hot coco with this book.❄🎄😀

I gave copies to my husband and children who spent Christmas morning absorbed in this book. They were raised in this era anddelighted in the familiar pictures. It brought many happy memories.

I like the concept and it has some good advice but it’s not very well written. Super repetitive and doesn’t flow very well.

It doesn’t matter what kind of woman you are, this book speaks to all of us. Every chapter talks about a different aspect of your own personal value - and how you need to learn to recognize that value to speak up for yourself. Absolutely loved it. Well done, Mika. Thank you.

This is the absolute best book on trial advocacy out there. James McElhaney's 'Trial Notebook' is excellent, too. Someone needs to bring this book back into print. It should be the most used textbook in law school trial advocacy classes today. I work in a busy public defenders office, and I buy copies of this book every year to give to our summer interns. The lack of a current edition, though, means that I am constantly scrounging for used ones wherever I can find them.

The set is divided into Astrological Planets From The Sun to the Ketu. And each planet has 3 different meanings.I tried using one answer card technique yesterday. I asked for guidance how to make my money life better?Personally I've felt for quite sometimes that I am too passive and not proactive on my money. The one card I drew up is MARS: The warrior. I need to be proactive and fight for my own success. Believe in myself and dare to take risk.I don't have more time to explore it more so this is the review I can give so far.

I bought the book and I got these cards as a companion. I discovered that if you have the book, you really don't need the cards because the cards and the guidebook are identical to her section on the wealth archetypes in her book. So for me, this seems like a waste of money. I am not new to working with cards. I own several by Doreen Virtue and Alana Fairchild. I did not expect these to be the same as those , but I just didn't feel the energy that I'm used to feeling from these cards . I respect that this author seems to have put a lot of care and attention into the book (not so much the cards since they are just a rehash) and seems to be driven to really want to help people overcome blocks to wealth and happiness. Even though we all know that wealth and happiness don't have to be inextricably linked to each other, if you have a certain calling in life that requires you to have money, then lack of wealth can make you miserable and make you feel blocked in your purpose. For me, this is certainly true. I was so excited to get this book and follow the plan but it just didn't resonate with me. I felt as if this book was geared more toward people who already are pretty much on the right track to attaining wealth and purpose but have just run into some bumps in the road - granted that in the author's case, some of the bumps in the road were quite major and disheartening. I read her personal testimony and she overcame a lot. But what about the people who aren't even on the bumpy road to their purpose yet? Maybe they've been struggling for years to find their way. They haven't gotten as far as having a failed business that needed to be reevaluated and turned into something more purposeful. They haven't gotten as far as already having some useful connections that they can rely upon when they get ready to switch things up and take a different course of action. This is a program to help iron out the the kinks , not for people who have been stuck for years and years. The suggestion in this book to take a daily action step related to each of my personal sacred wealth archetypes seems like general guidance and too broad and sweeping for where I'm at right now. I did the other exercises but when I got to the parts that said to take an action step, I had no clue what I could do that I hadn't already done. I guess that is what disappointed me. I know the author didn't intend it this way but it felt like somebody telling you to pull yourself up by your bootstraps when you have no boots yet. I felt like I needed a program to help me find a way to get some boots first. Then, I could start taking steps in them.

I love these cards so much more knowing the illustrator has lived in Vermont. The illustrations are beautiful and the booklet is easy to follow very informative and easy to understand
