I have been a fan of Robert Low since his first series starting with The Whale Road. If you like Bernard Cornwell, Giles Kristian and Conn Iggulden then you should definitely give this a read. Low has a unique style of writing dialogue and as with his other books it takes a chapter or 2 to get in to the rhythm of his writing, but it is well worth the effort. My only disappointment is that this book was only available in electronic format and not in hard copy. There was quite a gap since his last published book and I hope this is the start of a new series and continued works from Low.
The author's style of writing was, to me, "jumbled" . Again, for me, it was difficult to follow the story line , It lacked a smooth flowing order.
As good as the author's viking series. I really enjoyed this and highly recommend to others. Look forward to the next book in the series.
