Love this book! All Danielle Krysa books are excellent. Only suggestion would be to add a small picture of artist & for the older artists highlighted a small picture of one of their pieces of art. I have to stop & look each one up on Internet.
An encouraging voice, inspiring artists, great interviews and fun projects to help get the ball rolling...what's not to love? Happy to add this one to my growing Krysa collection!
I love being inspired by women who make art. They seem to have been left out of the textbooks I studied in art school. The only thing about the book I didn't like was there were not pictures of the historical female artists featured. I had to look them up.
As a female artist i truly appreciates content that focuses on women throughout history, as well as contemporary art. This book is absolutely amazing, it’s filled with so many great women— some I’ve heard of, some I haven’t, all of them I can learn something from. I highly recommend this little book to add some insight into the wonderful world of female artists.
This is a wonderful alternative to going to a class. Great format, introducing a topic with carefully curated examples of women's art and an assignment that coordinates with the examples. We are using it in a small group biweekly for "Art Camp".
This book is full of interesting suggestions on how to get and stay inspired with art. I am giving this book to my favorite arty friend for Christmas, I think she'll love it!
