This covers a lot more than basic broth, although he does teach 'how-to' in detail. It's a fun read, will give everyone ideas & encouragement. My input: Use as clean bones as you can : no antibiotics or GMO grains/alfalfa fed to animals, best of all would be grass-fed or wild (hunters, save your bones, they are healthy!) Free-range chickens, the best you can find. Backyard chickens that are fed non-GMO grain/scratch, freely forage for insects, fed organic or eat wild greens are top of the line! The insects are full of Omega 3's, which we are starving for. We NEED healthy fats to live well, thrive. The Big Lie that is destroying us Americans is that FAT IS BAD. Mr. Fear is also a very intelligent Nutritional Therapy Practitioner with a thriving practice that helps people take back their health, heal their digestion, inflammation, and more! This cookbook is only a snippet of his awesome work. I have been a follower of his blog, "Fearless Eating," for a while, and I have gleaned lots of good nutrition advice that has improved my health. I use a few of his posts as references for friends who see how healthy I am and want advice. I use this book often, especially in the winter when I'm constantly making soup!

Wonderfully written, even funny at times.In the 'out of the box' part of the book, the author challenges our western ideas of what a 'healthy' breakfast should be. Instead, he offers an alternative: eat broths for breakfast!As I myself have been having soups and broths for breakfasts for years now, I did not need convincing to know that it is a great idea (especially in winter). But the author's recipes are so much more creative than my own that I learned a great deal from him. Am now going to experiment with his ideas and include them in my cooking (for example, have never heard of Congee before).For those readers who want to stay 'in the box', there is a selection of traditional soups with little tweaks and variations. Something for everybody.All in all, a great cookbook for healthy living.

An excellent book on soups and broths. Enjoyed it tremendously. Like every recipe book I have ever had I do not use all the recipes included. For example my wife and I aren't big on fish so those recipes are of little use to us. But there are a good number which are right down our alley. Most of these recipes are simple and do not require exotic ingredients, which is a common shortcoming of too many cookbooks. Also appreciate the "cook" as opposed to the "chef" approach adopted in this book. Thank you Craig Fear for that. I am interested in becoming a better and more versatile cook not a chef. The broth breakfast section is priceless in my opinion and worth the price of the book. Highly recommended.

This book has really opened my eyes to many non-western diet options. Everything I have made from these recipes has been super delicious but even better these recipes have helped me take more control over my diet. A great read!

Great BookI'm really enjoying this book and the recipes I've tried so far are excellent. I've made some of them more than once. The author makes the story of broth interesting and it's a very nice read. I've been making broth for years but bought this due to the concept of having broth in a dish for breakfast. Can't wait to try that too.

I love the way this book is written. very engaging read with stories woven into the recipes. Great instructions on a variety of bone broths apart from the soups. This is a great book for newbies and veterans alike. The author seems to be really passionate about his subject and it really comes across.

His story is very detailed and powerful. He traveled barefoot with a robe and his Bible. Tibet and crossed the He felt he felt called to reach the people of Tibet and he crossed the Himalayan Mountains many times to speak to as many people as he could. His simple message became known throughout the world and he spoke about the love of Jesus in every continent,

Our family really enjoyed this one. The kids were amazed at his powerful life story and we were all encouraged by Sundar Singh's simple and Christlike faith. Lots of adventures, deep thoughts on life, teachable moments and interesting perspectives on communicating the message of Jesus cross-culturally.

As our family read the life story of Sundar Singh, we were all humbled. He sacrificed everything and counted his sacrifice as nothing. We highly recommend this book - a real faith-building and heart-stirring account of what it means to live for a cause greater than ourselves.

Written in an easy and straightforward style, this is a fascinating story of how God makes himself known to everyone who seeks Him. Sundar Singh was inspirational in his bare-footed journeys over the Himalayas to take his knowledge of the Living God to the Tibetans. Convinced that the best way to preach the Gospel was to contextualise the message by becoming a Christian 'sadhu' (holy man), he faced continual persecution and attempts on his life. Despite his simple lifestyle, he nevertheless became internationally known before his premature death at age 40, while again crossing the Himalayas to preach to his beloved Tibetans. Recommended for anyone interested in cross cultural mission work, and all who just want an interesting read about the ways in which God works.

This guy was an incredible servant of God. He in not well known in western circles and we have missed out. This guy had many practices that we are just catching on to in the last 20 years and he was working 110 yrs ago.

All the books in this series are wonderful biographies of Christian heroes written for younger readers.

What an amazing story! Highly recommend it for children as well as adults. I skipped over the torture details with my 5 year old, but the language and story itself was excellent.
