His 'Discovering The Mind' trilogy places Nietzsche is the forefront of philosophical relevance. Maybe not for professional philosophers in the academy, but surely for creative artists, poets, and film makers.
It's pure Nietzsche... with Kindle the formatting can be an issue at times, but it is worth the effort. You hear and read so much about Nietzsche it's better to read the man for yourself rather than someone else's subjective opinion.
Great reading. I read this on my Kindle touch, found the format fantastic. I hope that they include an X-ray feature soon!I found the content fascinating. This was my first time reading Nietzsche and found myself loving the path that he takes in addressing the issues of the world. I have been on a mission to read major philosophers from antiquity to modern day; and my enrollment in several review courses over Western philosophy have aided in my selection of the texts.If you are looking for a text that covers the move from late classical enlightenment to the modern episteme, Nietzsche will be for you.
Nietzsche lacks any logical development, at least in this book. His assumptions are presented as though they are conclusions or truisms. He writes in sweeping generalizations, with supreme arrogance and utter contempt for any who would differ.
Nietzche is a very difficult author to read. But it is worthy since he can teach you so much.
